If there’s one place that can be called the Home of Mother Kali, it is West Bengal. Not only is it the cradle of many Bhakti Saints, it’s the one place where the Divine Mother, in her form as Kali, is honoured the most. In this pilgrimage, we are tracing the footsteps of Guruji, and other masters and Saints, who have visited or lived at these Holy sites of Divine Mother.

Special HIGHLIGHT of this pilgrimage: Guruji Paramahamsa Vishwananda will personally take part in this pilgrimage and spend two days with the group! Together with Him, we will visit a very special Ma temple, which He wanted to see for a long time!

Each pilgrimage leaves a permanent imprint on us, which if not now, will support us later on our spiritual journey. Guruji emphasizes the importance of going on pilgrimage, and also points out, that Ma calls those She wants to “meet” at “Her” places. She helps us to get in touch again with our own inherent shakti or energy, the same energy that pushes us closer towards our Self, towards God Himself.  

She is the shakti, the flame or the spark, that ignites the fire of love and passion for God, bhakti. So going to Her sites is like lighting the fire of passion and longing for God in ourselves.

Highlights of this pilgrimage:

  • Go around Kolkata and visit Kalighat and Dakshineshwar, the place where Ramakrishna worshipped Kali

On the Pilgrimage, we will meet Her in various forms, and we’ll be able to feel both Her motherly, caring and protecting Love, but also the powerful cosmic Shakti (energy) that She is, the creative force that brings forth these worlds, galaxies, and universes. Visiting Her places where She resides and is worshipped, will resonate with our innermost soul, our Self, which is but a manifestation of Her, waiting to be awakened and rediscovered.

On this journey, we will spend time at some of the most powerful Devi places on earth, such as Kalighat, Dakshineshwar and Tarapeeth, where saints like Ramkrishna Paramahamsa or Bhamdev have worshipped as priests of “their” temples, where Paramahamsa Yogananda or Chaitanya Mahaprabhu were born, or where Anandamayi Ma has lived. Guruji himself has visited these temples more than once. Especially Tarapeeth is very dear to Him. We will also get a taste of the Baul tradition while visiting Parvathy Baul’s ashram.

Paartha

Paartha has met his Guru, Paramahamsa Vishwananda, in 1998. He lived many years in close proximity of Guruji and was blessed with many experiences. Over these years, he also developed a deep relationship with Devi, and has been worshipping Her for many years. He has been on many pilgrimages before with Guruji, and would like others also to experience the grace of the Divine Mother on this journey. Paartha is married and has three children. He is member of the intl management Board of Bhakti Marga.  

Anuprabha

Anuprabha is with Guruji for around 20 years and went to some eventful pilgrimages with Him, the most eventful is still the one towards herself.   Since it is her passion and also her profession to travel, she invites you to embark together on a wonderful pilgrimage to meet Devi, our Divine Mother. Maa is very dear to her and they cherish a loving relationship. Her home is Shree Peetha Nilaya where she happily lives and serves.

Participants

The participants will be taken on a journey to the Divine Mother where pearls of Guruji’s youth will be shared with them that very few bhaktas can know and share firsthand.   Anyone who is physically fit to travel in India, is invited to learn his message from Guruji’s closest disciples and soak up stories that have the power to change their own lives.   There will be a sense of family among like-minded people and the welcoming atmosphere will allow us to contribute and inspire one another. The love of God that all devotees carry within will make this journey an unforgettable experience.

Location & Accommodation

On this pilgrimage, we will visit powerful shakti peeths, places where Divine Mother manifested Herself as different Goddesses. By visiting Her abodes, where She is strongly present, we are able to deepen our connection to Her inside of us, bringing Her presence into our homes and lives.
